For shop owners

Do I need special hardware?
No. ScanPrint runs on the Windows PC and printer you already have at the counter.
Does printing stop if I don't pay?
No — never. If your plan lapses, your shop moves to the Free plan (300 pages a month) and keeps printing. Going over a plan's pages only brings a notice asking you to upgrade. Printing is never held back for a plan or billing reason.
Where does a student's payment go?
Straight to your own UPI ID. ScanPrint is not a payment aggregator, and never receives, holds, or forwards a rupee of it.
What happens to a student's file after printing?
It's deleted once the job prints, or after 3 hours either way — whichever comes first. Every deletion is logged.
Does ScanPrint read what's inside a file?
No. The server only counts pages, to work out the price. Nobody looks inside a file, and there's no identity-document reading of any kind.
Can I turn on auto-print?
Yes, on every plan — Free included — for jobs that are already paid. It's off by default, prints oldest job first, and pauses itself the moment a printer has a problem.
What if a student uploads an Aadhaar card or another ID document?
It's treated exactly like any other file — printed if asked, then deleted. ScanPrint never extracts or stores identity details from any upload.
My printer or the app isn't working. What do I do?
Contact us with your shop's name and what you were trying to do. We'll get back to you.

For students

Do I need to install anything?
No app, no login, no account. Scan the shop's code, send your file from your phone's browser, and pay.
Will you keep my file?
No. It's used only to print your order at that shop, then deleted — within 3 hours at the very latest, even if something goes wrong.
Is it safe to send an ID document if the shop asks me to print one?
Your file is treated the same as any other upload: not read, not scanned for identity details, and deleted after printing.
How do I pay?
By UPI, straight to the shop's own account, or cash at the counter — your choice, shown before you send anything.
